Even if
Castiglione is a small village, there are some interesting monuments. The
Baronial Palace was
 originally
a castle with defensive purposes. The façade has eight large arcades and
beautiful decorations. The Basilian Crypt of the Holy Spirit has some ancient
paintings. The Chapel of the Annunciation dates to the 16t century and is very
simple. The Church of St. Michele Archangel was built in the 17th
century, its façade has a beautiful portal and a big window. Close to the Chapel
of Saint Mary Magdalena there used to be a big fair in the 18th
century. The fair was important because here was set the price of the grains.
